18 Holes | Par 72 | bianchi 6597 / blu 5671 – gialli 6176 / rossi 5359 m

The La Guazzetta Course features a more modern design compared to the Glauco Lolli Ghetti Course, alternating wide-open holes with more technical ones where strategy is driven by broad water hazards. On the La Guazzetta Course, playing with your dog is permitted, provided it is kept on a leash and care is taken not to damage the course or disturb other golfers.

Hole 1 | Par 4 | Hcp 3

From the tee, the spacious landing area of this opening hole is not visible, making the drive a true strategic challenge. The green, well-guarded by two side bunkers and significantly elevated, demands precise shot-making. A recovery from the right can prove particularly tricky.

Hole 2 | Par 3 | Hcp 15

The second hole of this links-style course is an uphill par 3 that demands accuracy and distance control. The green is wide but shallow, well-protected by a
bunker on the right, with out-of-bounds directly behind. The safest approach is to aim for the left side of the green.

Hole 3 | Par 5 | Hcp 5

A challenging par 5 with a right dogleg. From the tee, aiming toward the bunker provides the safest line. More aggressive players can attempt a shot over the trees on the right, potentially reaching the green in two. Caution is advised, as a lake runs along the right side of the fairway. The elevated green, guarded by a bunker on the left, demands an accurate approach.

Hole 4 | Par 4 | Hcp 7

This par 4 features a downhill landing area, guarded by bunkers on both sides. The second shot plays uphill to a large green, where the key challenge is selecting the right club to avoid coming up short or overshooting.

Hole 5 | Par 4 | Hcp 11

This par 4 demands exceptional accuracy off the tee, as two strategic bunkers guard the landing area. The undulating fairway adds complexity to the approach shot towards a green protected by a bunker on the right. A well-judged approach is key to securing a good score.

Hole 6 | Par 4 | Hcp 1

A very long and demanding par 4, featuring an uphill tee shot that obscures the landing area. The second shot is played downhill towards a small green, well-protected by two bunkers. Accuracy and distance control are essential to secure a good score.

Hole 7 | Par 5 | Hcp 9

A long and strategic Par 5, featuring a water hazard guarding the green that must be carried with precision. To attempt reaching the green in two, it's crucial to place the drive on the right and higher side of the fairway while avoiding the out-of-bounds. Strategy and accuracy are key to mastering this hole.

Hole 8 | Par 4 | Hcp 13

An uphill par 4 that might seem easier after a demanding stretch of holes, as it appears free of major hazards. However, the left side of the green is tricky, protected by a small bunker and a steep, wild slope where losing the ball is a real risk. Accuracy and strategy are key to a successful approach.

Hole 9 | Par 3 | Hcp 17

This scenic par 3 by the lake, overlooking the Club House, concludes the front nine of the La Guazzetta course. A highly precise shot is required to carry the water hazard, with its steep bank, and clear the front bunker guarding the green. A hole that is as beautiful as it is challenging.

Hole 10 | Par 4 | Hcp 4

A challenging par 4 with an elongated green, framed by woods on the right and a bunker on the left, with no significant slope. Placing the drive on the right side of the fairway provides a better angle to approach the green safely.

Hole 11 | Par 4 | Hcp 8

A technical par 4 that starts with a drive through a narrow "bottleneck," which quickly opens into a wide landing area sloping from left to right, causing the ball to roll downward. The green, featuring multiple slopes that demand careful putting, is protected by a stream on the right side and behind.

Hole 12 | Par 4 | Hcp 10

A strategic par 4 where shot placement is key. The green is guarded by a deep bunker on the left, which is a safer option compared to the out-of-bounds on the right. It’s advisable to place the drive on the left side rather than trying to cut the corner and ending up in the rough.

Hole 13 | Par 3 | Hcp 16

The longest par 3 on the La Guazzetta course features five different tee positions, significantly altering both distance and angles of play. The green, surrounded by large bunkers, is open at the front left and divided into three distinct sections, with more pronounced contours than the previous greens, adding an extra challenge.

Hole 14 | Par 5 | Hcp 12

The first par 5 of the back nine features a large green, where the pin position significantly affects both the lay-up and approach shot. A strategically placed bunker in the middle of the fairway forces players to stay focused, making it harder to judge the exact distance to the green.

Hole 15 | Par 4 | Hcp 14

The fairway bunkers on both sides encourage a strategic shot rather than an attempt to clear them. The green is unique as it has no natural stopping point for the ball. The fairway extending beyond the green is specifically designed to accommodate shots that don't hold their position.

Hole 16 | Par 5 | Hcp 6

This Par 5 is the longest hole at Margara (523 meters from the men’s tees). The landing area for the drive is blind, but the width of the fairway minimizes the risk. The lay-up shot must take into account the large bunker on the left side of the fairway, while the approach to the green is made tricky by three bunkers surrounding it on all sides.

Hole 17 | Par 4 | Hcp 2

This challenging Par 4 offers a slight advantage with a downhill drive. However, the second shot to the green is a real test: long and uphill, it requires clearing a bunker on the right or the entire front section of the green, which is steep and unforgiving. The green itself has a sharp entrance and a wide, undulating back section, making every putt a test of precision and control.

Hole 18 | Par 3 | Hcp 18

A short but scenic Par 3, where the tee shot must carry the lake to reach the green, well protected by a large bunker. From here, players can enjoy a beautiful view of the Club House, a fitting setting for the conclusion of the La Guazzetta course.
